Officials investigate the scene of a multiple vehicle accident where 6 people were killed on the westbound Pomona Freeway in Diamond Bar, Calif. on Sunday morning, Feb. 9, 2013. Authorities say a wrong-way driver caused the pre-dawn crash that left six people dead.
Authorities say four members of a family have been killed in a wrong-way freeway crash in Southern California that also took the life of two others, including the sister of a woman arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Los Angeles County coroner's Lt. Fred Corral said Monday that two people in a Ford Explorer died at the scene and two others in the vehicle were declared dead at a hospital. All four are members of a family from Huntington Park.
Corral says the two others killed were passengers in a Chevy Camaro driven by 21-year-old Olivia Culbreath of Fontana, who was arrested on suspicion of DUI and manslaughter. Her sister, 24-year-old Maya Louise Culbreath, was among the dead.
Olivia Culbreath remains hospitalized in serious condition.
